Industrial Control Panel

A control panel consists of a controller, which can be a programmable logic controller (PLC), distributed control system (DCS), relay, or other type. The controller provides digital input signals to the MCC panel to start the motor and operate based on the PLC/DCS program or relay logic. The control panel also includes instruments and interlock indications. Advances in technology have made PLC-based automation control panels more popular over conventional relay-based systems. Control Systems Engineers provide PLC panels from various manufacturers, such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, and ABB. They also offer communication software for remote communication and provide a human-machine interface (HMI) for operator control and messages. Touch screen HMIs are also provided for effective control of the system.
